The Archbishop of Goa and Daman Rev. Filipe Neri Ferrâo will lay the foundation stone for the new school building at Donvordem on 3rd May 2008. Provincial of Franciscan Hospitaller Sisters of the Immaculate Conception Sr. Mary Augustine will lay the foundation stone for the convent building.


In 1936 Society of the Franciscan Hospitaller Sisters of the Immaculate Conception started the Presentation Convent High School, Margao to provide quality education to the students. In 1945 it was recognized and affiliated to the Poona SSCE Board and in 1946 the 1st batch of students were sent up for the SSC Exams. In 1955 because of the political relations between India and Portugal, the English school at Presentation Convent, Margao was closed and a Portuguese school opened. In 1962 Presentation Convent High School was once again converted into an English Medium School and from that date it has greatly developed and today it is an efficient High School having 1506 students and 100% result at the SSC Exams for the last five consecutive year.
